Orlando Bloom signs on to The Hobbit

Hottie-as-a-blonde Orlando Bloom is coming back to Middle Earth. Orlando Bloom has officially signed on to play his iconic character Legolas in "The Lord of The Rings" prequel "The Hobbit". Funny thing is, Legolas isn’t even in the story book The Hobbit, so how in the world will he appear in the movie?
"Ten years ago, Orlando Bloom created an iconic character with his portrayal of Legolas," Jackson wrote on his Facebook page. "I'm excited to announce today that we'll be revisiting Middle Earth with him once more. I'm thrilled to be working with Orlando again. Funny thing is, I look older—and he doesn't! I guess that's why he makes such a wonderful elf." Bloom has starred in other blockbuster hits including roles in Troy, Pirates of the Caribbean and Kingdom of Heaven. Bloom also will play the Duke of Buckingham in 2011’s The Three Musketeers.
Ian McKellen, Elijah Wood, and Cate Blanchett will also return as their previous Middle Earth characters. Rumor has it that Bloom is going to earn $1 Million for a two minute appearance. Is this even possible? Orlando isn’t doing too bad, taking part in 4 of the top ten grossing movies of all time (two Pirates of the Caribbean movies, and two Lord of the Rings movies). The Hobbit is planned to hit theatres in December of 2012 to the delight of those yearning for more of this kind of stuff.
